This is an investigation on the acceleration imposed by the postmodern condition and digital culture in dialogue with Contemporary Archaeology. The overlapping and accumulation of digital culture establishes a change of habits and customs, where crises and identity “gaps” occur, in a culture of substitution and overlapping of existences. The work consists in the use of image and immersion in augmented reality environments in order to better understand critically relations of origin and belonging in current societies. This research proposes the use of photographs, videos and Virtual and Augmented Reality devices in the field of Media Arts to think about the recent past through Contemporary Archaeology and Digital Culture.
